Blue Tit (Parus caeruleus)

Today I was hoping to bring you an image of my first Blue Tit chicks of the season after the female in box KJ 10 started incubation at least twenty days ago - today, she was still sitting

A full box round today bar one and from a total of 114 small hole boxes I now have 16 incubating Blue Tit's, 12 incubating Great Tit's and a further 21 boxes with incomplete clutches. I hope one of the many boxes without eggs gets used, how gutting will it be to have 49 boxes used. Come on, one more......

Also a Blackbird that was suspected of fledging one young a couple of weeks ago has laid 4 eggs in it's old nest and my Carrion Crow chicks have hatched.

The only image I can offer tonight is of bluebells -

Tomorrow I will be checking the one remaining box - at my parents where my Mother informs me they have been in and out all morning. Sounds like they have hatched :-)
