Blue Tit eggs

Unfortunately for the second week running I had to go into work on Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon with 4hrs in between. Not much happening at the reservoir yesterday with a moderate N wind blowing, Hells Mouth for the Cormorant was bleak. Did see my first Swift of the year though.

Thankfully today was much better. With a light S blowing i saw my first House Martin of the year and heard my first Cuckoo. More importantly, 9 Sedge Warbler and two Whitethroat singing at the reservoir. The Sedge Warbler are the red dots, Whitethroat the yellow. Unfortunately it doesn't look as though any female Sedgies have arrived yet.

One of the two occupied nest boxes at the reservoir now has an egg, the other one is lined ready. The Carrion Crow nest I found last week is now clutched on 5 eggs.
