Fieldfare, Redwing and Fulmar

started off this morning covering square SW6638 and finally managed to get into some Thrushes - not many but some all the least. - only one Fieldfare but a good 40 Redwing which is 40 more than i expected.

The afternoon was spent on Cornwall's North coast near Camborne, a place called Hells Mouth. 90 Fulmar have returned from their moulting grounds of which there were 33 apparant pairs. Signs are looking good for Raven with a bird flying around and landing on the islet where they bred last year. Even after the awful weather the nest is still looking fairly intact. No Shag yet sitting on nests, last year some sat on nests for two months before doing anything intresting.

Hundreds of Gannet, Razorbill and Fulmar heading west on passage fairly close in as well.
