Lobaria Pulmonaria

I very rarely take notice of anything outside of birds and mammals however this fungi on the Isle of Mull did grab my attention. I've only now had an opportunity to ID the thing and after an hour of looking in my Collins Guide to fungi I gave up. Having had a brainstorm I then ran a google search on Lichens and sure enough - I found it (Lobaria Pulmonaria)

Tonight I spoke to another land owning couple with a small wooded area adjacent to the main woods where I have my boxes and they are happy for me to put some up for next year. Area should hold 6 boxes, I think 10 will be pushing it....
