As mentioned last night a nocturnal mammal has been visiting the garden so tonight I have spread out a bag of sand where the food bowls will be placed and hopefully tomorrow morning will see tracks in it.
This extremely worn Painted Lady was in the garden tonight however butterfly numbers will drop drastically now as the most of the buddleia flowers are dead
Thanks to the ringer Mark Grantham for providing the life histories of the colour ringed birds I saw on the Hayle estuary yesterday
